”Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 NKJV. This is Husband’s favorite verse! It helps keep both of us humble, relying on God to take the lead.
It takes faith to trust. Faith in God, faith in yourself, faith in others. I saw the phrase “faith over fear” many times during the pandemic. I live that way. In that faith, who or what am I putting my trust in so I do not fear? I put my trust in God first, always! With that trust comes faith. I cannot separate the two! If I do not trust, then that is evidence that I have no faith either.
”“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.“ Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV. My faith in Jesus allows me to trust every word in the Bible. I have faith that every word in it is inspired by God and I trust that God’s Holy Spirit will always guide me in the right direction. “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.” Psalms 37:5 NKJV
”You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.“ Isaiah 26:3 NKJV. So many verses in the Bible that encourage us to have trust in the Lord. ”I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”“Psalms 91:2 NKJV. This piece is a feeble attempt to expound on a subject that is so clear in scripture. God says everything that needs to be said. Let God’s Word speak for itself.
”Trust in the Lord forever, For in YAH, the Lord, is everlasting strength.“ Isaiah 26:4 NKJV
Amen!
Whatever Things! Trust takes faith.
